Senior Media Planner


Acxiom Digital is looking for a Senior Media Planner to join its growing Search and Media team. Acxiom Digital is the internet marketing services business of Acxiom, a leading marketing services company with revenues of approximately $1.3 billion. Acxiom Digital offers a broad range of internet-based services to large marketers, including the design and execution of both customer acquisition and customer retention programs and campaigns. A sampling of current customers includes Hewlett Packard, Countrywide, Dell, and Kaiser Permanente.
The Senior Media Planner works collaboratively with Account Services and Media team members across a range of clients. She/he is responsible for developing and executing media plans related to multiple online acquisition channels (search, display, affiliate, email, etc.).

Responsibilities
Conduct and oversee program results analysis and help translate information into observations, lessons learned, and recommendations
Ensure media deliverables are met and align with Client goals/objectives which includes the oversight of continuous program optimizations
Develop strategic Pay Per Click & SEM marketing campaigns for clients
Identify strategies for maximizing results for clients
Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
Evaluates editorial content and audience composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach target audience.
Provides input to creative recommendations when appropriate to improve media performance
Calculates reach and frequency of potential media vehicles.
Gathers statistics and prepares media plan to guide buying process.
Presents media plan to account services and client for approval and makes adjustments as necessary.
Negotiates best price for media space or time, as specified in approved media plan, to optimize budget.
Buys negotiated media space, commercial time, or site placement.
Monitors media for placement and time discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessary.
Researches and maintains record of trends, innovations, and changes that affect media buying.
Responsible for the preparation of Insertion Orders and placement of advertising with media vehicle.
Establish customer accounts with outside vendors such as Google, Yahoo, MSN
Mentor junior members of Media team


Qualifications


5+ years of relevant media experience. At least 3+ years of online media planning/buying
Deep knowledge in the following areas of interactive media: Branding and Awareness Campaigns, CPA, CPC, Behavioral Targeting, Localized Placements, Lead Generation Campaigns, Ad Network Placements, and others
Must be proficient and have experience in media planning and negotiations
Fluid understanding of all relevant ad serving and research tools including but not limited to Doubleclick, Atlas DMT, Nielsen and Comscore
Experienced with Paid Search, Keyword Optimization, SEO
Solid understanding and use of ad-serving technologies and tools (i.e. DART, Atlas DMT, etc.)
Knowledge of search bid management tools a plus
Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
Good mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
Experience with and knowledge of business productivity tools, especially Powerpoint and Excel
At least a Bachelors degree, with a record of strong academic achievement a plus
